All Policies Subject to Change
Task Force Jackal strives to create the best milsim environment to date, we provide all the means to enjoy yourself in return for your time and dedication.
It is expected that everyone remains mature when playing and has the attitude to learn and work as a team. There is always learning to be done, and nothing here is done alone. We are a team that strives to be better in every regard, and we expect that attitude from all members.
All members will be expected to treat everyone with respect. No person shall berate, harass, or create a generally hostile environment toward any one person or group of people. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary action based on the severity of the harassment. All allegations from members are taken very seriously and are handled internally by the unit's Human Resources team.
During any Operation or Training, you are to conduct yourselves in an appropriate manner. Voice volume should be restricted to your surroundings. Meaning, if you are acting as a team alone, you may conduct yourselves at your Team Leaders discretion. Once meeting with or working alongside other members / teams / squads / platoons, you are to mitigate needless chatter or prevent hindering their effectiveness by yelling. Restrict your volume to those who need to hear what you are saying.
At all times, you must follow the direction of your CoC and subsequently other members of leadership if the situation permits. Situations can become very hectic and you may not be in the loop of on-going situations or prolonged orders that have been sent through. Anyone found actively disobeying orders from their leadership will be removed from the server immediately and disciplined accordingly.
All members of Task Force Jackal are required to react to Operation Announcements in good time, anyone submitting an absence request within 24 hours of a mandatory event will still earn an unauthorised absence. Exceptions can be made on a case by case basis. This is to ensure that Intelligence Officers have a clear indication of numbers so they can scale the operation accordingly. More numbers for a certain sub-unit may require additional Secondary objectives in order to provide something for them to do, this in turn requires enough notice to create these in-line with that week's operation.
All official unit business is to be conducted via the TFJ Discord, DM’s do not count. This is to hold people accountable for the things that they say and ensure that all members are treated fairly. The unit cannot enforce anything that happens outside of the Task Force Jackal platforms.
In regards to tickets being created, nothing is allowed to leave those tickets without the expressed permission of the ticket creator. Anyone found to be in breach of disclosing information only gained via a confidential ticket is liable for disciplinary action and in most cases removal of whatever role they have that gained them that permission.
By remaining as a member of Task Force Jackal, you agree to abide by the rules outlined herein this document and outlined in the units Discord Server. At any point if you become in breach of Operating Procedures outlined within either two locations, you agree that you will be treated fairly under the unit's Discipline Procedure by an un-biased party from the Human Resources team. If at any point, members of Company Headquarters or a representative of the unit, through correct discipline procedures, determine that you are no longer suited to remain with the unit, your time with us will come to an end.
Multi-Clanning is not allowed. We expect full attention from our members. Exceptions can be made on a case by case basis but the general consensus is that we are your primary and only unit.
If you wish to partake in another unit's operations, you must inform HR via the HR Ticket system and provide the other units name, discord invite link, their operation times and their play-style.
As you begin to climb the ranks and undertake more responsibility, you will be expected to commit to those whenever your real life permits and splitting that amongst another unit may cause issues.
Disciplinary actions may come in the following order and are all tracked on your personnel record, via the extended record tab. During which, a member of Human Resources will be present during all official disciplinary actions to ensure you have been treated fairly.
1 Verbal Warning
2 Written Warning
3 Unit Board
Promotion Ban
Event Accruement Ban
Court Marshal
Removed from specialised role and subsequently your squad
Removed from the unit
1st - Verbal Warning
2nd - Written Warning
3rd - Unit Board
All unit disciplinary actions will remain on your record for 3 months, after 3 months, you will lose ONE level of your discipline. For example, if you are at level 3, after 3 months with no other offences you will go down to Level 2, then after a further 3 months you will go down to level 1.
Any member of leadership is authorised to create a disciplinary against members of their Command, they are not allowed to create disciplinary actions against anyone outside of their chain of command. They must handle this internally via other command procedures.
You have the right to contest any and all disciplinary actions taken against you, once a disciplinary has been issued by your Chain of Command, they will abstain from any further comment. If you wish to contest a disciplinary action, a representative from Human Resources will take over the action and will hear your case. If they determine you are still at fault, they will make a ruling. If you are still not happy, you can contest it again where it will be sent to the Company Commander for review. It is here that the final decision will be made. At no point are you to plead your case to the member of command that created the ticket as once it’s created and contested, it is no longer their problem.
Unit Operations run every Saturday at 1900 GMT.
Unit Trainings run whenever dictated by Company Headquarters.
Individual Platoon/Squad level training ran weekly at relevant sub-level discretion.
Any training outlined as mandatory by either Company Headquarters or Platoon/Squad level, requires absence tickets for any missed events.
Unless specified as above, you do not need to submit an Absence Request and instead just inform your relevant Chain of Command or trainer.
Current operators within TFJ are expected to attend three (3) unit events per month, a unit event is defined as any (training) or (operation). For those who cannot make the requirement for 1 month, you are to bring it up with Human Resources. If attendance is seen as a continuing issue, they will handle the situation accordingly. This may result in a general discharge from the unit. We remain strict on our attendance requirements as we want our units to not only want to be here but to actually turn up. 90% of full members hold specialised roles within their squads and as such, if you consistently do not attend, you are reducing the effectiveness of your squad and thus the enjoyment of other members.
If you are going to miss two consecutive operations you are required to submit them together in the same ticket. You must have a valid reasoning for no attendance, such as going out of town due to work, or similar.
Filing an absence request for false reasons, such as work, and then playing other games will not be tolerated and will result in disciplinary action. Falsely filing for an Absence Request and playing with another unit will instantly result in your dismissal from the unit. (reference the above mentioned “disciplinary actions” section on page 2).
Submitting more than 3 Absence Requests during a one month period will warrant an Attendance and Welfare check. This is where Human Resources and Company Headquarters sit down and assess your current attendance, previous months attendance and the reasons surrounding. A welfare check will also be made to ensure that everything is going smoothly both in your life and with the unit to see if there is anything we can do to assist.
LOA’s are currently actioned on a 28 day basis (4 concurrent weeks) and as such will nullify you from having to submit any HR tickets for absences during this period. It is your own responsibility to extend these if you require it further.
Moving onto LOA for any given time period will result in you being removed from your current team and placed into Battlefield Casualty Reserves. Once you have been moved out, you will lose your current specialised training qualifications. Upon your return, you will be required to retrain for your desired role. Just note that during your absence, it is likely that a new member may have joined and taken that slot. This also counts for specialised trainers.
As mentioned above in the attendance section, members' lack of attendance can have a direct impact on the remaining unit. This should be an environment you want to return to every week. It may seem strict and very intrusive but ultimately you made the decision to join and we are trying our best to not only entertain you but also retain you.
Military leave can be granted to members of the Armed Forces for any upcoming training or operational deployments and as such will waive all attendance requirements throughout this period. You must be able to prove you are actively serving in your nation's military. No weekend warriors.
Unit Standowns will pop up throughout the course of the year, usually around all major holidays. Once the unit has been stood down, you are not required to submit any absence requests through HR as there will be no official scheduled events during that time period.
If you are Honorably Discharged from the unit, you will retain all your Basic training and rank for up to 6 months in the chance that you rejoin within that time period.
If you are Dishonorably Discharged or listed as a Deserter you will have all of your training stripped along with your rank and any events accrued. You will still retain your commendations and operational ribbons.
If you are discharged, you can return within 2 months to retain ranks and training.

Just like operational ribbons, you also have the option to acquire commendations and ribbons. These can be given by members of command for going above and beyond during operations or for contributions to Task Force Jackal. Secondly to this, members of Task Force Jackal can also nominate other members for their acts during operations.
